is it safe to go to Istanbul, Turkey?

Safe To Travel To Turkey

Recently, the most googled question was, “Is it safe to travel to Turkey, Istanbul?” Unfortunately, in the uncertain world we live in today; where terrorists are a threat all over the globe, this question cannot be answered. Just a few short months ago, Paris was attacked and before that; New York City and London were the suspected terrorist targets. It is sad, that in this day and age, the question of, “Is it safe to travel?” must be asked about every major city in the world.

In 2015; 40 million tourist arrived to Turkey, and more than 10 million to Istanbul. Out of those millions of people, only 30 have lost their lives to terrorist attacks and other accidents. Although 30 is still too many, it saddens us that due to the intense media coverage, Turkey and Istanbul seem unsafe to travel too. Istanbul is a beautiful city, full of history and wonder. The 20 million people who live in Istanbul, want to share their city with you and the world. There are always hesitations when one travels, and those hesitations can increase when a beautiful city such as Istanbul is victim to a terrorist attack. We here at Real Istanbul Tours understand these safety concerns and hesitations before arrival, but we are taking it upon ourselves to make sure you and your traveling companions always feel safe and have a trip to remember for a lifetime.

We believe that international travel is imperative to achieving peace in the world. Through travel, one learns and appreciates cultures different from one’s own. It is this appreciation that leads to tolerance.

We encourage you to take the necessary precautions when you travel, but not traveling would be a disservice to the achievement of global peace.

Especially nowadays necessary to visit Turkey, Istanbul to stand together with the people of Turkey.
